The debut mcd from Dutch punkrockers Tenement Kids is called Doves. Doves contains 26 minutes of heart-wrenching/kicking-and-screaming/sandpaper-throated punk/rock/emo-ish melodies. That probably doesn't say too much, so let's just drop some names of bands that the Tenement Kids have been listening to a lot in the last couple of months: Samiam, Jawbreaker, Dinosaur Jr., Leatherface, Motörhead, Fugazi, Hot Water Music, Hüsker Dü, Therapy? and Dead Boys. The result is 8 songs of totally rocking, raw, passionate punkrock.
