A Forest Of Stars
The Corpse Of Rebirth CD
Transcendental Records

Few are the ones in the current Black Metal scene who have the guts and, above all, the creativity to push the boundaries of the genre. This is precisely what A Forest of Stars, one of the new emerging bands from England, has done in their first album The Corpse of Rebirth. The four sorcerers in A Forest of Stars conjured the souls of their fellow Victorian era occultists chose to make this album an atemporal, unique and spellbinding one, with influences ranging from progressive music to raw black metal and sharing a similar artistic framework with bands such as Ved Buens Ende, Solefald and In The Woods.

Evil Proclaimed LP
Hells Headbangers Records

At long last, legendary black/death heretics ABOMINATOR return from suspended animation with their highly anticipated comeback album, "Evil Proclaimed". After eight years in the abyss, the core creative duo of drummer/vocalist Chris Volcano and guitarist Andrew Undertaker - both longtime veterans of the deadly Australian metal scene - have reignited the hellfire, having learned their lessons well from a devilish hiatus, and thusly deliver a demonic slab of black/death metal carnage. Aptly titled, "Evil Proclaimed" is ABOMINATOR's fifth album to date, and their first album for HELLS HEADBANGERS. Here, these Oz barbarians range their entire discography, the filth 'n' fury of their earliest days well accounted for whilst showing a nuanced sense of dynamics not heard on their previous albums. The attack's not unlike a heat-seeking missile: stealthy, insistent, focused, FAST...and death imminent. With a history that stretches back more than 20 years now, ABOMINATOR display no signs of softening nor compromise; if anything, they're more committed than ever to harnessing the powers of chaos and unleashing them back as a maelstrom of blackened Metal of Death. Rounded off by the band's best, burliest production ever, "Evil Proclaimed" is the victorious return everyone's been awaiting of ABOMINATOR. Onward they march...

Abzu CD

SIXTH ALBUM FROM OCCULT BLACK METALLERS ABSU Abzu is part two of a planned trilogy of recordings from mythological occult metal trio Absu. Mixed by J.T. Longoria (King Diamond/Solitude Aeternus), the album follows the band's popular 2009 self-titled album. Featuring the original works of Polish artist Zbigniew Bielak (Watain, Behemoth, Destroyer 666, Vader), Abzu ushers in a new visual presentation for Absu. For long-time fans, Abzu throws even more at the listener on the journey through the album's blistering selections. Proscriptor notes, "with this record, we are appending dirtier elements of psychedelia and fusion. Absu, featuring guitarist Vis Crom and bassist/vocalist Ezezu with Proscriptor, amazed audiences earlier this year performing as special guests to Immortal on their showcase tour. It was the first stateside viewing of Absu since their headline tour in 2009. Touring again will be high priority for the trio and planning is already in the works for late year and early 2012. Texas-based Absu came to prominence with the release of their 1993 debut, Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L. Each album saw continual expansion of the band's now highly regarded artistic vision and international fanbase. It was with 2001's Tara that the band truly arrived. The album reached top lists of countless magazines worldwide. Years, however, would pass before any new material would be recorded. In late 2007, the band finally announced their re-awakening. Now teamed with Candlelight Records, the band would take nearly sixteen months writing/recording their sixth album.
